Tavela
Tavela
A Fast, Strategic Number Puzzle
Match equal tiles. Build the numbers you need. Clear to 10 before the board locks you out.
Tavela is a quick, high-pressure puzzle game built around short runs, sharp decisions, and leaderboard chasing. The rules are simple to learn, but the board gets dangerous fast.
Why it's hard to put down
- Every run is short, so restarting is effortless
- Every move changes the board, which means mistakes snowball and smart setups feel brilliant
- Fast play builds Flow, boosting your score and pushing you toward bigger leaderboard runs
- New pressure mechanics show up deeper into a run, so strong games keep getting more interesting
What changes as you go
Early rounds teach the core puzzle. Then the game starts adding pressure.
- Negative tiles can reduce numbers and create new outs
- Charged tiles can increment over time if you leave them alone
- Refill pressure can bring tiles back if you don’t stay in control
- Big scores come from balancing survival, setup, and speed
Play for score
Tavela is built for replay.
- Chase the daily leaderboard
- Push for a new personal best
- Reach deeper rounds
- Keep your Flow alive for huge scoring runs
Current status
Tavela is live and playable in browser on desktop and mobile. The core game is stable, and I’m actively tuning balance, progression, and presentation based on player feedback.
Feedback
If you play it, I’d especially like to know:
- Where did the game start feeling tense or unfair?
- Which mechanic made you want another run?
- What confused you in the first minute?
- Did you care more about survival or score?
